1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SharedKitchen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SharedKitchen is a collaborative meal planning application that allows household members to plan meals, manage recipes, create grocery lists, and track food budgets together. The Service is available as a mobile app and web application.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
- One person may not maintain more than one account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
4. Household Collaboration
When you create or join a household, you agree that recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and budget data within that household are shared with all household members. You should only invite people you trust to your household.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create on the Service, including recipes, notes, and photos. By posting content, you grant SharedKitchen a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and store that content for the purpose of operating the Service.
You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
6. Recipe Import
The Service may allow you to import recipes from third-party websites. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use imported content. SharedKitchen does not claim ownership of imported recipes and provides this feature for personal, non-commercial use only.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Use automated means to access the Service without permission
- Upload malicious code or content
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. SharedKitchen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, any dietary or health decisions made based on information in the app.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
